Requalification
for residential use. There are three container areas
which can be opened. They are lacquered in shiny white,
with doorways designed by incisions; these organize
the functions of service. The bathroom of the apartment
is dominated by the sharp contrast between the Marquinia
black marble slab covering and the veined Carrara
marble. |

| Remodelling
knik-knaks shop in Venice |

This
project foresaw the complete remodelling of a tiny
shop in Calle dei Fabbri, Venice. This shop has a
particularly narrow elongated form. The choice of
planning is to accentuate the shape of the internal
space, by constructing a series of elements which
will visibly lengthen the area. |

The sessions room of
the Veneto Regional Council has the aspect of a box,
entirely made of wood, except for a small area of
the floor, which is made of leather; behind this are
developed complex technological networks.

The
entrance to Palazzo Ferro Fini, headquarters of the
Veneto Regional Council, has been completely redesigned,
starting with the three entrance doors, with a series
of vertical solid oiled teak planks having an insert
of an opaque brass profile. |

This project concerned
the library and the kitchen of a private house. The
library is of double height, employing a typology
quite frequent in both public and private libraries;
this allows ideal use of all available volumetry.

Restaurant Palazzo Balbi |

This
concerned the restoration of the bar and restaurant
of the Veneto Regional Council, Palazzo Balbi. Said
restoration was necessary in order to optimize the
available space, to solve certain problems linked
to redevelopment as well as to the temperature and
humidity of the rooms located on the ground floor. |

The remodelling of
this house resulted in the liberation of the largest
possible number of space-division elements. The aim
was to create an open space, in both horizontal and
vertical terms. Just a few materials were chosen (teak,
shiny lacquer and plexiglass) with which to construct
the floor...

concerned the creation of a series of complex
fixtures which divide the internal part of the
Gabbiano Bar (at Venice”s
Hotel Cipriani) from the poolfront external
part. We are referring to a complex system,
more than 16 metres long, composed of two sliding
spans...

The interventions concerned
the wooden parts of the ceiling, new doors and the
complete reconstruction of a bathroom. The wooden
parts of the inner surface of the attic doorframe,
such as corniciones and wooden beams, have been the
objects of careful restoration and partial reconstruction.

Optical Shop in Venice |

The entire shop is
based on the combination of bronze-veneered brass,
panels of multi-layered marine treated with spatulate
stucco, artificial suede and tempered crystal, with
a choice of pastel colours which confer a warm, restful
tone upon the setting.
